Davol Park Renovations Project

Background
The City of Taunton, Massachusetts is seeking sealed bids from general contractors for the construction of the Davol Park Renovation Project. The project area consists of two city-owned properties and involves demolition work, proposed site improvements, tree planting, and landscaping. The work is estimated to cost $2,750,000.

Work Details
The Davol Park Renovation Project involves the demolition of existing playground structures, basketball court, baseball field, and site fencing, as well as selective tree clearing and grubbing.
Proposed renovations include installation of bituminous concrete sidewalks, paved parking, granite curbing, handicap ramps, guardrails, restroom facility construction, concrete pad construction for benches and seating areas, drainage improvements, electrical, water, and sewer service installation, fence installation, fine grading, and loam and seed or mulch.
Additional site amenities to be constructed include pickleball courts, horseshoe fields, shuffleboard courts, bocce courts, cornhole fields, shade structure seating area, rubberized-asphalt exercise/fitness areas, enclosed pea stone dog park areas.

Period of Performance
Bids will be received until 12:00p.m., Friday August 26, 2024. The successful bidder must furnish a 100% performance and payment bond and execute the contract agreement within five days following notification of bid acceptance.
