Canal & Lumber Street Improvement Project

Background
The Town of Athol is inviting sealed Bids for the Canal & Lumber Street Improvement Project. The project is being administered by the Town of Athol and the Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission (CMRPC) and funded by the Massachusetts Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities (EOHLC), FY2022-23 Athol Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. The Engineer’s opinion of probable construction costs for the project is $1,041,000.

Work Details
The project consists of furnishing all labor, tools, materials, and equipment necessary for the installation of approximately 1,400-LF feet of 8” water main and related hardware, lining 1,200-LF of sewer mains, rehabilitation of existing sewer manholes, and installation of new manholes.
Canal and Lumber Street roadways will be reestablished with new pavement, minor grade changes to improve drainage and curb lines, and sidewalk restoration.

Period of Performance
Bids must be received at the Town of Athol, Department of Public Works located at 584 Main Street, Athol, MA, 01331 no later than 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 5th, 2024.

The geographic location for this contract will be at Canal & Lumber Street in Athol, MA.
