Bunker Repair

Background
The Town of Acushnet is issuing a contract for the renovation of bunkers at the Acushnet River Valley Golf Course. The project aims to improve the quality and functionality of the golf course, specifically focusing on the 6th, 7th, and 10th holes, with an optional add alternate for the 3rd hole.

This renovation is part of a broader effort to enhance the golfing experience and maintain the course's standards.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all necessary facilities, labor, tools, equipment, transportation, supervision, and related work to complete the project as specified in the technical specifications. Key tasks include:
1. Construction of new tees and remodeling of existing bunkers.
2. Installation of drainage systems and cart paths.
3. Grassing (sodding) of disturbed areas.
4. Renovation of existing bunkers including earthwork, fairway expansion, mounding, installation/confirmation of drainage, and reconstruction.
5. Installation of erosion protection as required.
6. Turf removal and stockpiling or removal of topsoil; transportation within the golf course to meet requested depths.
7. Earthwork excavation and embankment.
8. Complete shaping, backfilling, loaming, finish work, and drainage as per plans.
9. Replacement/restoration of disturbed areas including shrubbery, paths, grass, posts, signs, trees.
10. Provision and installation of bunker sand and sod.
11. Clean up and removal from site of all debris not previously disposed of.

Period of Performance
The work is expected to commence upon award of the contract with substantial completion targeted by November 1st, 2025.

No work is scheduled between June 14th and August 31st due to weather conditions.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the Acushnet River Valley Golf Course located in Acushnet, Massachusetts.
