Building Exterior Masonry Repair

Background
The Pathfinder Regional Vocational Technical High School District is seeking quotes for masonry repair work at 240 Sykes Street, Palmer, MA. The project involves selective demolition of a structural block wall, addition of vertical steel reinforcement and grouting, reconstruction of the wall with new concrete blocks and type S mortar, pouring a new steel-reinforced concrete cap, and installation of ADA compliant railing.

Work Details
The scope of work includes selective demolition of 45 feet of structural 12” block wall, addition of vertical steel reinforcement and subsequent grouting, reconstruction of approximately 45 feet of demolished wall section with new 12" concrete block and type S mortar, form and pour new 4000 psi, steel reinforced concrete cap with 1½” overhang atop block wall, and installation of 45 feet of ADA compliant railing.
The work is to be performed at 240 Sykes Street in Palmer, MA.

Period of Performance
The substantial completion date for the project is July 30, 2024. The contractor is required to provide a warranty against material defects on all labor and materials used in the project for a period of five years following substantial completion.
