BID FOR: Warren Avenue Two-way Conversion Project

Background
The City of Brockton, Massachusetts is issuing a contract for the Warren Avenue Conversion Project, aimed at improving roadway infrastructure to facilitate two-way emergency vehicular traffic flow. The project has an estimated value of $10,498,000 and requires contractors to be prequalified by MassDOT in the class work of Highway - Construction.

Work Details
The contract includes a range of construction activities such as:

- Full depth roadway reclamation
- Full depth pavement construction
- Pavement milling and overlay
- Removing and stacking or resetting existing granite curb
- Installation of new granite curb
- Construction of sidewalks and curb ramps
- Construction of a raised cycle track
- Drainage improvements
- Construction of driveway aprons
- Loaming and seeding

Additionally, the work involves installing traffic control signal materials including video detection systems, signal posts, heads, mast arm assemblies, cabinet pull boxes, conduit, foundations, wiring, cable, electrical service connections, and all other necessary equipment to furnish and install a complete traffic control signal system. The project requires intermediate course paving and fully operational traffic signal components along Warren Avenue by November 26, 2025.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of 510 calendar days excluding winter shutdown from November 27, 2025 to March 31, 2026. Work is set to commence twenty days following the Effective Date of the Agreement.
