Description

The Work consists of the replacement of the existing Railroad Bridge over East Street in Dedham, Massachusetts, and the reconstruction of a section of East Street. The new bridge will be a two track, steel through girder superstructure on a new reinforced concrete substructure. Background
The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) is seeking proposals for the East Street Bridge Replacement Project in Dedham, Massachusetts. The project is part of a financial assistance contract between the MBTA and the Federal Transit Administration of the U.S. Department of Transportation.

Work Details
The work consists of replacing the existing Railroad Bridge over East Street and reconstructing a section of East Street. It involves constructing a two-track, steel through girder superstructure on a new reinforced concrete substructure using Accelerated Bridge Construction methods within an active railroad right of way.
