Asbestos Abatement

Background
The Town of Middlefield, Massachusetts is seeking bids from qualified firms to enter into an agreement to provide Asbestos Floor Tile Abatement and Related Work at the Middlefield Town Hall located at 188 Skyline Trail Middlefield, MA 01243.

Work Details
The Town is requesting bids for the abatement of various forms of asbestos including floor tile, mastic, and cove base and other miscellaneous materials as noted in the project design at the Middlefield Town Hall. The project will be performed in two phases to allow for the removal of asbestos floor tile and related products from specific rooms, followed by moisture testing and flooring installation.
The Contractor must comply with all laws and regulations regarding handling and storing hazardous materials, including all applicable OSHA regulations.
The estimated completion date for the project is August 30, 2024.

Period of Performance
The project is expected to begin within ten calendar days of the bid award and must be completed by August 30, 2024. Liquidated damages in the amount of $1,000.00 per day will be assigned for every day of work following August 30, 2024.

The contract work will be performed at the Middlefield Town Hall located at 188 Skyline Trail Middlefield, MA 01243.
