FLOOR COVERING SERVICES
Background
The Amesbury Housing Authority, located at 180 Main St, Amesbury, MA, is seeking bids for Annual Floor Covering Services to support its mission of providing quality housing. The contract aims to ensure the maintenance and repair of flooring systems across various housing developments managed by the Authority.

The estimated value of this contract is $30,000 annually, with an initial term from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, and options for two additional one-year renewals based on satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, and supervision necessary for the installation, maintenance, and repair of existing flooring systems in accordance with the specifications outlined by the Amesbury Housing Authority. Specific tasks include:

1. Removal and disposal of old flooring materials including stretch-in carpet (100 sq/yd), carpet tiles (150 sq/yd), direct glue-down carpet (400 sq/yd), VCT (400 sq/ft), LVT (250 sq/ft), and cove base (1000 lf).
2. Installation of new flooring materials such as direct glue-down carpet tiles (150 sq/yd), stretch-in carpet and pad (50 sq/yd), direct glue-down rolled carpet (50 sq/yd), VCT (400 sq/ft), sheet vinyl (75 sq/yd), vinyl planking (100 sq/ft), plywood underlayment (500 sq/ft), and cove base (1000 lf).
3. All work must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including obtaining necessary permits and ensuring that all materials meet specified quality standards.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on July 1, 2025, and conclude on June 30, 2026. There are options for two additional one-year renewals contingent upon satisfactory performance.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations managed by the Amesbury Housing Authority including Heritage Towers at 180 Main St., Macy Terrace, Orchard Park at 209 Market St., Powow Villa I & II on Summer/Thompson St., Veterans Housing at Macy St., among others.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a minimum of five years' experience in the flooring industry and provide references from three local housing authorities or municipalities. They must also demonstrate their ability to respond to service calls within specified timeframes: normal service calls within 24 hours and emergency calls within eight hours. All personnel must possess required licenses and certifications.
