Background
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is issuing this solicitation for masonry and structural repairs to the Maintenance Garage located at 9 Bay Ridge Lane, Orleans, MA.
The goal of the contract is to address various facade and miscellaneous repairs as part of maintaining the integrity and functionality of the facility.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for a range of tasks including:
- Assisting the engineer with bearing pocket investigations;
- Abating hazardous materials as identified in a report;
- Replacing roofing assemblies and roof edge construction;
- Repairing deteriorated metal roof decks;
- Replacing unit masonry blocks;
- Repointing mortar joints;
- Sealing cracks in masonry walls and concrete slabs;
- Performing full-depth slab-on-grade concrete repairs;
- Providing new open web steel joists and crane framing;
- Replacing overhead door lintel bottom flange plates;
- Replacing sealant joints at various locations;
- Replacing damaged overhead doors and window insulating glass units;
- Painting various elements including doors, frames, and walls;
- Applying penetrating sealer to exterior surfaces;
- Replacing drains and floor drain lines;
- Providing an oil/water separator;
- Converting a water fountain into an eyewash station;
- Performing other miscellaneous work as specified in the drawings.
Mobilization costs for the general contractor and subcontractors are included, along with all necessary permits, temporary facilities, cleanup, dust control, waste disposal, and documentation.
