26-171: Classroom Sound Enhancement with Safety & Intercom System at Brookings

Background
The City of Springfield, Massachusetts, through its Department of Parks, Buildings & Recreation Management – Facilities Division, is seeking qualified contractors to provide sound enhancement and intercom system services at various Springfield Public Schools.
The goal of this contract is to improve audio capabilities in classrooms to enhance the learning environment.

Work Details
The contractor will provide sound enhancement systems along with safety and intercom systems specifically for Brookings Elementary School.
The estimated value of this project is approximately $250,000.
The services include installation of audio equipment that meets the requirements set forth by the City of Springfield and adherence to Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 149.
It is strongly encouraged for bidders to attend a site visit on April 21, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. at 433 Walnut St, Springfield, MA 01105.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to be completed within a timeframe that aligns with the project specifications as outlined in the bid documents.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be certified by the State Division of Capital Asset Management as required by Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 149.
The City supports a goal of twenty percent minority and women-owned business enterprise (MWBE) participation in all contracts.
