Description

The PCA Complex Care Workgroup will be organized as a workgroup with the purpose of providing feedback to EOHHS on the implementation of PCA Complex Care, specifically, stakeholder communications and engagement during the implementation timeline. EOHHS is seeking approximately 12 members from the public to serve on the PCA Complex Care Workgroup for a term intended to begin October 2024 and ending December 2024.
Background
The Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) is responsible for administering the Medicaid program and the State Children’s Health Insurance Program within Massachusetts, collectively known as MassHealth.

EOHHS is seeking to establish a Personal Care Attendant (PCA) Complex Care Workgroup to provide feedback on the implementation of PCA Complex Care, particularly regarding stakeholder communications and engagement during the implementation timeline.

The PCA Program assists individuals with permanent or chronic disabilities in maintaining independence and managing personal care needs through self-directed services provided by personal care attendants (PCAs).

Work Details
EOHHS is looking for approximately 10 to 15 members from the public to serve on the PCA Complex Care Workgroup. Members will provide recommendations and feedback on implementing Complex Care in the PCA consumer population.

The workgroup will meet virtually on a monthly basis from October to December 2024, with a possibility of extending for up to six months if a substantial majority of members agree. This is a voluntary opportunity with no financial compensation available. Members must have diverse backgrounds and experiences related to consumer direction, independent living, or the MassHealth healthcare system.

Period of Performance
The term for participation in the PCA Complex Care Workgroup is intended to begin in October 2024 and end in December 2024, with potential extension for up to six months.

Place of Performance
The workgroup meetings will be conducted virtually, allowing participation from members residing anywhere within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
