25-17 Auditorium Renovations: Phase 2

Background
Massachusetts Bay Community College (MassBay), a department of the Commonwealth, is soliciting bids for Auditorium Renovations: Phase 2 at the Wellesley Hills campus.
The college serves approximately 5,300 students and aims to enhance its facilities to support educational programs.

Work Details
The project includes the following work:
1. **Add Alternate 1**: Removal of existing theatrical lighting fixtures and installation of new theatrical lighting fixture types CA, CB, and CC.
Refer to Specifications Section 260001 – ELECTRICAL and Section 265561 – ENTERTAINMENT LED LUMINAIRES; Drawings ED0.2, E2.1, and E21.2.

2. **Add Alternate 2**: Furnish and install new theatrical lighting fixture types CD.
Refer to Specifications Section 260001 – ELECTRICAL and Section 265561 – ENTERTAINMENT LED LUMINAIRES; Drawings E2.1 and E21.2.

3. Miscellaneous and Ornamental Iron work must be completed by a Sub Bidder certified in the Miscellaneous and Ornamental Iron category by the Massachusetts Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM).

4. Resilient Floors work must be completed by a Sub Bidder certified in the Resilient Floors category.

5. Painting work must be completed by a Sub Bidder certified in the Painting category.

6. HVAC work must be completed by a Sub Bidder certified in the HVAC category.

7. Electrical work must be completed by a Sub Bidder certified in the Electrical category.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award with an onsite construction start date of May 27, 2025, and is expected to be completed by September 26, 2025.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at Massachusetts Bay Community College, located at 50 Oakland Street, Wellesley Hills, MA 02481.
