Background
The City of Everett, acting as the Awarding Authority, is seeking qualified bidders for the re-roofing project of the Old High School located at 548 Broadway, Everett, MA.

This project is part of the city's ongoing efforts to maintain and improve its educational facilities. The original structure was built in 1921, with an addition completed in 1976. The aim is to replace the entire roofing system to ensure the building's integrity and longevity. The estimated cost for this project is $7.9 million.

Work Details
The scope of work includes a full roof tear-off down to the decking, which encompasses all items not otherwise scheduled for removal.

This includes the removal, reinstallation, and re-energizing of limited Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) equipment and systems. General bidders must be certified by DCAMM in 'General Building Construction'. Filed sub-bids are required for specific categories including Masonry, Roofing and Flashing, Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical work.

Period of Performance
The general bids must be submitted by February 20, 2025, with filed sub-bids due by February 6, 2025.

The successful bidder will commence work upon receipt of the Notice to Proceed and is expected to complete the project within the timeline established in the contract.
