24-20 Glass Replacement and Glazing

Background
The Town of Reading, Massachusetts is inviting bids for the Glass Replacement and Glazing Contract No. 24-20. The contract will be awarded to the lowest cost responsible and responsive bidder offering the lowest total price for all three years of the contract. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to award or not to award the contract for any reason deemed to be in the Town's and/or the public's best interest.

Work Details
The contract involves glass replacement and glazing services. The successful bidder will be required to provide a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, and Performance Bond. Bidders are also required to submit a bid deposit equal to 5% of the value of the total bid.
The minimum wages for all labor on the project are established in accordance with Section 26A - 27D, of Chapter 149 of the M.G.L., as amended.
Massachusetts sales tax on building materials and supplies to be used in the project is exempted.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract spans three years.

Place of Performance
The contract work will be performed at various locations within the Town of Reading, Massachusetts.
