2026-21 Campus Wide Surge Protection

Background
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts is issuing a solicitation for the 2026-21 Campus Wide Surge Protection project. The goal of this contract is to enhance the electrical infrastructure by implementing surge protection measures across campus facilities, ensuring the safety and reliability of electrical systems.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing surge protection devices suitable for installation in various campus buildings. This includes:

- Assessment of existing electrical systems to determine surge protection needs.
- Supply and installation of surge protective devices (SPDs) that meet industry standards.
- Coordination with campus facilities management to ensure minimal disruption during installation.
- Testing and verification of installed SPDs to confirm operational effectiveness.
- Providing documentation and training for campus personnel on the operation and maintenance of the installed systems.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of 12 months from the date of award, with specific milestones for assessment, installation, and testing phases outlined in the project timeline.

The work will be performed at various locations within the campus grounds as specified in the bid documents.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered in COMMBUYS to submit a quote. Additionally, bidders are encouraged to include participation from Minority/Women Business Enterprises (M/WBEs) or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Enterprises (SDVOBEs) as part of their proposal. A Supplier Diversity Program (SDP) Plan must be submitted detailing commitments to M/WBE or SDVOBE participation if awarded a contract.
