2026-01 Transportation & Disposal of Sludge

Background
The Town of Uxbridge Department of Public Works, through the Town Manager, is seeking qualified bidders for the Transportation and Disposal of Sludge under IFB #2026-01. This initiative aims to ensure proper waste management and environmental compliance in the community.

Work Details
The contract involves the transportation and disposal of sludge generated by the Town's wastewater treatment processes. Bidders are required to provide detailed proposals that outline their methods for safely transporting and disposing of sludge in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. The successful bidder must demonstrate experience in handling similar waste materials and provide a plan that includes timelines, equipment to be used, and safety measures.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence on July 1, 2025, and conclude on June 30, 2026. There is an option for two one-year extensions at the sole discretion of the Town, contingent upon price adjustments not exceeding the Consumer Price Index (CPI).

Place of Performance
The services will be performed in Uxbridge, Massachusetts, specifically at locations designated by the Department of Public Works for sludge collection.

Bidder Requirements
Bids must include a bid security amounting to five percent (5%) of the total bid price in the form of a bid bond or certified check from a responsible bank. Bidders are required to adhere to M.G.L. Chapter 30B provisions and must not withdraw their bids for thirty days following the bid opening.
