Background
The Massachusetts Technology Collaborative, through its Center for Advanced Manufacturing (CAM), is issuing this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO No. 2025-CAM-01) to support manufacturing projects for qualified manufacturers located within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

This initiative is part of the state's ongoing commitment to bolster the manufacturing industry and aims to provide capital cost share grants to accelerate company growth. The program emphasizes the importance of adapting to Industry 4.0 technologies, including robotics, automation, and sustainable manufacturing processes.

Work Details
The Massachusetts Manufacturing Accelerate Program (MMAP) offers capital cost share grants up to $200,000 for projects that enhance manufacturing capabilities within Massachusetts.

Eligible projects must focus on capital expenditures related to equipment purchases or technology development that align with Industry 4.0 demands. The program encourages partnerships between manufacturers and non-profit organizations or educational institutions in Massachusetts to foster collaboration and support for technical assistance, workforce development, and business connections.

Eligible expenses include new or used equipment purchases but exclude land acquisition, building construction, renovation costs, salaries, administrative fees, and other operating costs. A minimum 1:1 cost share is required from applicants.

Period of Performance
The funding must be utilized within twelve (12) months of notification of award. Agreements may span multiple fiscal years if specified in the application.

Place of Performance
Projects must be located within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
