Waste Disposal Service for DPS - HQ

Background
The Office of State Procurement of Louisiana is issuing this solicitation to establish a contract for Waste Disposal Services for the Department of Public Safety (DPS) Headquarters Complex located at 7979 Independence Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA 70806. The goal of this contract is to ensure effective waste management services that meet the operational needs of the DPS.

Work Details
The contractor will provide the following services:
1. Monthly rental of stationary horizontal type compactors (minimum size 1.57 cubic yards) at three locations, with specifications including a ram penetration of at least 16.5 inches and a packing force with a minimum of 42,000 pounds.

2. Hauling services for waste disposal, with approximately 104 pickups per location per year, each weighing approximately 4 tons.

3. Disposal fees charged per ton of waste for each location.

4. Delivery fee for all containers provided under the contract.

5. Specific service locations include:
- Headquarters Complex, 290 East Airport Avenue - Dock 2, Baton Rouge, LA 70806
- Data Processing Center, 8001 Independence Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA 70806
- Training Academy and Cafeteria at 7901 Independence Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA 70806

6. The contract may be extended for two additional twelve-month periods at the same prices.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on July 1, 2025, or upon date of award, whichever is later, and will end on June 30, 2026. The total contract duration may not exceed thirty-six months.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations in Baton Rouge, LA including the DPS Headquarters Complex and Data Processing Center.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered in the LaGov vendor system to submit an online bid. A W-9 form must be included if newly registered. Bidders must comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations regarding civil rights and non-discrimination.
