Two (2) Year Contract for Services on Hydraulic and Pneumatic Equip.

Background
The Jefferson Parish Department of Fleet Management is seeking a contractor for a two-year contract to provide services on hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. This contract aims to ensure the maintenance and repair of various municipal vehicles and equipment, including dump trucks, backhoes, transfer pumps, bobcats, and fire engines. The goal is to obtain reliable repair services and necessary replacement parts to maintain the operational efficiency of the fleet.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for hydraulic and pneumatic repairs for miscellaneous equipment. Services include:
- Issuing a request for repair document that lists specific repairs requested along with an estimate.
- Performing only the repairs listed in the request unless additional repairs are approved in writing by the Director of Fleet Management.
- Conducting inspections post-repair to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
- Quoting labor only for each line item; all replacement parts must be invoiced at wholesaler pricing with a price list provided upon contract execution.
- Retaining used parts for inspection by the Department of Fleet Management for 30 days post-repair (fluids excluded).
- Providing quotes for new parts including brand names and descriptions prior to installation, ensuring they are OEM or equal.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective for two years from the date of award.

Services will be performed within Jefferson Parish, Louisiana.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must hold current applicable Jefferson Parish licenses with the Department of Building Permits and obtain any necessary permits prior to starting work. A Louisiana State Contractor’s License is also required. Vendors must comply with insurance requirements including $1 million in Commercial or Garage Liability, $1 million in Automobile Insurance per occurrence, and Workers Compensation as required by Louisiana State Statute.
