Two (2) Year Contract for Services on Hydraulic and Pneumatic Equip.

Background
The Jefferson Parish Department of Fleet Management is seeking a contractor for a two-year contract to provide services related to hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. The goal of this contract is to ensure the maintenance and repair of various types of equipment used by the department, including dump trucks, backhoes, transfer pumps, bobcats, and fire engines. This initiative aims to maintain operational efficiency and safety within the fleet management operations.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for hydraulic and pneumatic repairs on miscellaneous equipment. Services include:
- Issuing requests for repair documents that specify repairs needed with estimates attached.
- Performing only the repairs listed in the request unless additional repairs are approved in writing by the Director of Fleet Management.
- Conducting inspections upon completion of repairs to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
- Quoting labor only for each line item; replacement parts must be invoiced at wholesaler pricing with a price list provided upon contract execution.
- Retaining used parts for inspection by Fleet Management for 30 days post-repair (excluding fluids and lubricants).
- Providing quotes for any new parts required, including brand names and warranty details.
- Submitting itemized invoices detailing parts, labor, and job descriptions to Fleet Management.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a two-year period starting from the date of award.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations within Jefferson Parish as designated by the Purchasing Department.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must hold a valid Louisiana State Contractor’s License and comply with insurance requirements including: $1,000,000 in Commercial Liability or Garage Liability, $1,000,000 in Automobile Insurance per occurrence, and Workers Compensation as required by Louisiana law with specified limits based on work conditions. Additionally, bidders must submit proof of insurance with their bid submission.
