Set Aside -ITB- EMD - Roadside Assistance

Background
The City of New Orleans, through its Department of Finance and Purchasing Bureau, is soliciting bids for Roadside Assistance services as part of a formal city bid process. The Equipment Maintenance Division is responsible for maintaining the fleet of vehicles used by various city departments. The goal of this contract is to ensure reliable roadside assistance for city vehicles, enhancing operational efficiency and safety.

Work Details
The contractor will provide Fleet Services - Roadside Assistance, which includes: breakdown assistance, jump start assistance, lockout assistance, flat tire changes, and on-road flat tire repair.

Services are required throughout the six-parish New Orleans metro area (Orleans, Jefferson, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Charles, and St. Tammany). The contractor must ensure that all services are available 24/7 and that all personnel are adequately trained. Additionally, the contractor must supply all necessary equipment and maintain compliance with applicable safety standards.

The contract also includes provisions for emergency disaster services and special event support during occasions such as Mardi Gras.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon execution and will be in effect for one year with options for renewal as specified in the contract documents.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations throughout the City of New Orleans and surrounding parishes as needed.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be authorized dealers in good standing with at least two major tire manufacturers and provide notarized letters from these manufacturers confirming their status. Bidders must also submit evidence of their ability to provide full service tire facilities located within the metro New Orleans area to minimize equipment downtime.

Insurance coverage requirements include Workers' Compensation, General Liability Insurance with specific limits, Business Automobile Insurance, and Garage Keepers Legal Liability Insurance.
