Background
The City of Kenner, Louisiana, is issuing Sealed Bid No. 25-6914 for the rental of emergency power equipment post-disaster. This contract aims to ensure that the city can quickly mobilize resources to restore normalcy following man-made or natural disasters such as hurricanes, tornadoes, and floods. The goal is to provide timely and effective support during declared disaster events.

Work Details
The contractor will provide rental services for various emergency power equipment, which includes all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, delivery, removal, maintenance, servicing, engineering (if needed), and setup and teardown of the equipment. Specific requirements include:

- Delivery charges to and from each site.
- Trip and mileage charges.
- Equipment required for loading and unloading (forklift, crane, etc.).
- Mobilization and demobilization of equipment.
- Startup of equipment.
- Electrical connections or equipment.
- Preventative maintenance, servicing, and repairing of equipment.

The City assumes no liability for damages caused by disasters on rented equipment. The City will provide all diesel fuel for rented equipment. In case of breakdowns, repairs or replacements must occur within 48 hours. All ordered equipment must be delivered and set up within 48 hours after receiving approval from the requesting department.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective for a period of two years upon execution with an option to renew for one additional year based on mutual consent.

The services will be performed in Kenner, Louisiana.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with insurance specifications outlined in the bid documents. They are required to maintain adequate insurance coverage including workers' compensation, general liability with specified limits, and auto liability.
