Background
The City of Baton Rouge and Parish of East Baton Rouge is issuing a solicitation for the construction of the S. Sherwood Forest Blvd. Sidewalks Project, which aims to enhance pedestrian access and safety along the specified route from Coursey Blvd. to I-12.
This project falls under City Parish Project No. 20-EN-HC-0026.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: grading, earthwork, installation of ADA ramps, pervious concrete, Portland cement concrete, concrete driveways, traffic signals, striping including parking lot markings, and other related items necessary for the completion of the sidewalks project.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence after the bid opening on June 3, 2025, with specific timelines to be determined based on project requirements.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed along S. Sherwood Forest Blvd., specifically from Coursey Blvd. to I-12 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with the Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (SEDBE) program with a minimum goal of 16% participation by certified SEDB firms.
Bidders must also hold an active license issued by the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors in the classification of Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction.
A Certified Check or Cashier's Check equal to 5% of the total bid or a satisfactory Bid Bond must accompany each bid.
