RFP #236 - Request for Proposal for On Call Electrical Services

Background
The Recreation and Park Commission for the Parish of East Baton Rouge (BREC) was established in 1946 to develop, maintain, and operate public parks and recreational facilities for the residents of East Baton Rouge Parish. BREC operates over 180 parks and facilities, serving over 11 million visitors annually. The agency is committed to enhancing safety, security, efficiency, and sustainability across its operations while ensuring accessibility to all individuals. BREC has received multiple awards for excellence in parks and recreation administration.

Work Details
The selected contractor(s) will provide on-call electrical services that include general electrical repairs/maintenance and high voltage electrical issues across BREC's facilities. The contractor must ensure that all work is compatible with existing infrastructure and complies with applicable codes, regulations, and ADA requirements. Services include planning, design, installation, maintenance, and support for both new and existing electrical systems.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and will continue as needed based on the requirements of BREC's facilities. Specific timelines for deliverables will be determined based on individual project needs.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed parish-wide across various BREC facilities located in East Baton Rouge Parish.

Bidder Requirements
Proposers must demonstrate experience and expertise in providing electrical services. BREC encourages participation from Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) and requires proposers to outline their plans for DBE participation in their proposals. Additionally, contractors must comply with insurance requirements as specified in the RFP.
