Rebid Mobile MRI Unit Rental

Background
The Louisiana State University and Agricultural & Mechanical College is seeking bids for the rental of a Mobile Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) unit. This equipment will be utilized by the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine, specifically within the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, to provide imaging services for small animals such as dogs and cats. The goal of this solicitation is to secure a high-quality MRI unit on a rental basis, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with OEM standards.

Work Details
The contract requires the provision of a Mobile MRI Unit with the following specifications:
1. System Overview:
- High-resolution superconducting MRI scanner with a 1.5 Tesla field strength (Model: Echelon or equivalent).
- Zero boil-off, actively shielded superconducting magnet.
- OEM installation required for warranty compliance.

2. Coil Requirements:
- Knee Quadrate Coil, Cervical Quadrate Coil, Spine Surface Coil for small animal imaging.

3. Mobile Trailer Specifications:
- Stationed on LSU campus throughout the rental period.
- Onboard fire system and metal detection system.
- Monitored video security and safety systems.

4. Electrical Requirements:
- Connect to a dedicated power line (150 Amps, 480 Volt, 3-Phase Power).

5. Delivery and Setup:
- Complete delivery, installation, and configuration of the MRI unit.

6. Training and Support:
- Comprehensive training for technical staff and ongoing support during the rental period.

7. Emergency Support:
- 24/7 availability for emergency issues like chiller failure or power outages.

8. Integration:
- Compatibility with LSU’s Radiology Information System (RIS), AGFA.

Period of Performance
The rental period begins with delivery by September 8, 2025, and continues until November 14, 2025.

Place of Performance
The Mobile MRI Unit will be stationed at LSU VetMed, Room 2161, Baton Rouge, LA 70803.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must ensure that their proposals include comprehensive pricing covering delivery, setup, training, technical support costs, and all other requirements outlined in the solicitation. Bids must be submitted using the provided price sheet; any pricing submitted separately will not be considered.
