Physical Therapy Services

Background
The Orleans Parish School Board (OPSB) is seeking licensed independent contractors to provide physical therapy services to students as part of their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
The OPSB oversees 71 charter schools and serves over 43,875 students in Orleans Parish.
The goal of this contract is to ensure that students requiring physical therapy receive the necessary services to support their educational needs, in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing special education.

Work Details
Contractors will deliver direct and/or related physical therapy services as identified in student IEPs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing physical therapy services
- Conducting assessments
- Participating in the development of IEP goals and objectives
- Collaborating with educators and families
- Maintaining documentation and progress reports compliant with school standards.
Each contractor is expected to provide approximately 20-40 hours of service per week based on student needs.
All therapists must have a valid license to practice in Louisiana and prior experience in school-based therapy settings.
Proposals must specify a rate per service inclusive of both direct and indirect costs related to the services provided.

Period of Performance
The contract term will be for one year with options for two additional one-year renewals.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various schools within the Orleans Parish School District.

Bidder Requirements
Proposers must have a valid license to practice physical therapy in Louisiana and prior experience in school-based therapy settings.
They must also participate in Medicaid billing as OPSB seeks reimbursement for eligible services provided.
Additionally, all proposals must include documentation of compliance with Louisiana Department of Education regulations.
