Mobile MRI Unit Rental

Background
The Louisiana State University and Agricultural & Mechanical College is seeking bids for the rental of a Mobile Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) unit for the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. The purpose of this contract is to provide necessary imaging services for small animal treatment at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital. This ensures that the equipment is available during the installation of a new MRI unit.

Work Details
The supplier must provide a 1.5T Echelon (or equivalent) superconducting Mobile MRI with patient lift, compatible with AGFA EI for image uploading and storage. Additionally, coils necessary for scanning small animal brains and spines must be included. The equipment will be housed in a certified Medical Coach on LSU’s campus. The supplier must be registered with the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ). The mobile unit requires a dedicated power line with 150 amps and 480 volts of three-phase power. The machine must be fully functional by August 4, 2025, and will be onsite from August 4, 2025 to November 14, 2025. Delivery and installation are required at the LSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital, along with onsite training and ongoing support during business hours. Furthermore, 24/7 emergency support is also required.

The rental period is from August 4, 2025 to November 14, 2025.

Place of Performance
LSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Baton Rouge, LA.

Bidder Requirements
The supplier must be registered and up to date with the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) to conduct business in Louisiana. Certification must be provided upon request.
