Medical, Dental and Mental Health Services

Background
The Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office (LPSO) is seeking proposals for medical, dental, and mental health services to provide comprehensive correctional health care to incarcerated individuals at the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex (LPCC) and the Transitional Work Program (TWP).

The LPCC is a 678-bed facility operational 24/7, while the TWP offers employment opportunities for soon-to-be-released inmates. The mission of LPSO is to ensure a safe and humane environment for inmates while providing necessary health services that meet community standards.

Work Details
The selected vendor will be responsible for providing a range of services including:
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and mental health care for inmates.
- Administration of the health care program including staffing requirements, continuous quality improvement, and management of health records.
- Health care safety promotion through education and disease prevention.
- Ancillary services such as pharmaceutical services, diagnostic services, and emergency care.
- Patient health care services including intake screenings, treatment planning, chronic disease management, and telehealth services.
- Compliance with ACA standards and federal/state laws regarding correctional health care.
- Coordination of outside medical services when necessary.
- Regular reporting on health care statistics to LPSO.

Period of Performance
The contract will be awarded for an initial period of 24 months starting February 1, 2025, with options to renew for three additional 12-month periods, not exceeding a total of 60 months.

Place of Performance
Services will be provided at the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex located at 2594 Veteran’s Blvd., Thibodaux, Louisiana 70302,

and the Transitional Work Program located at 1156 Highway 90 East, Raceland, Louisiana 70394.
