M6745 Snail Screen

Background
The City of Baton Rouge, East Baton Rouge Parish is issuing this solicitation for the procurement of a Snail Screen (Hydrodyne Great White Center Flow 9001 Screen or approved equal). The goal of this contract is to establish a reliable supply of fine screening systems for wastewater treatment, ensuring compliance with local standards and enhancing the efficiency of the environmental services provided by the city.

Work Details
The contractor will supply all labor, materials, equipment, manufacturer services, and incidentals required to provide the fine screening system as specified. The scope includes:
- Supply and installation of a continuous stainless steel belt fine screen that automatically rotates within a static frame.
- The system must accommodate peak flow rates of 120 MGD per screen and include features such as:
- A continuous belt designed to collect solids and discharge them into an internal hopper.
- A drive mechanism with a maximum 7.5 hp inverter duty electric motor suitable for a Class 1 Div. 2 environment.
- Stainless steel construction throughout, including T316 stainless steel for all components.
- The provision of spare parts including hook links, grid axles, guide links, and center support links.
- Ancillary components such as control panels with necessary electrical controls and safety features.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to last until the completion of the installation and acceptance testing of the Snail Screen system. Specific timelines will be determined based on project requirements.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the South Wastewater Treatment Plant located at 2850 Gardere Lane, Baton Rouge, LA 70820.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with all local regulations including having a current occupational license issued by East Baton Rouge City-Parish if applicable. Additionally, bidders are encouraged to utilize certified Small, Minority, and Women-owned businesses in their proposals. All bidders must submit evidence of ISO 9001:2015 certification for manufacturing processes related to water and wastewater treatment equipment.
