LCTCS Houma - HVAC Deferred Maintenance

Background
The Louisiana Community and Technical College System (LCTCS) is issuing a solicitation for HVAC Deferred Maintenance at Fletcher Technical Community College located in Houma, Louisiana. The project aims to address necessary maintenance and upgrades to the HVAC systems as part of the college's ongoing commitment to providing a conducive learning environment. The successful contractor will be responsible for executing the work as outlined in the bid documents.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, materials, tools, appliances, and facilities necessary to complete the HVAC renovations at Fletcher Technical Community College. This includes but is not limited to:

- Installation of HVAC equipment
- Ductwork modifications
- Insulation of piping
- Testing and balancing of systems
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and regulations

Specific tasks include:

- Installation of air cooled scroll water chillers
- Hydronic piping systems
- Variable-frequency motor controllers
- Direct digital controls (DDC) systems.

The project also requires adherence to quality requirements and submission of operation and maintenance data upon completion.

Period of Performance
The contract must be completed within 200 consecutive calendar days from the date specified in the written 'Notice to Proceed' issued by the Owner.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Fletcher Technical Community College located at 1407 Highway 311, Schriever, LA 70395.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be licensed under LA R.S. 37:2150-2192 for the classification of Mechanical. Bids must include bid security in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total base bid and all alternates. The successful bidder will also need to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond as described in the bid documents. Participation in Small Entrepreneurship (SE) Program or Veteran-Owned Small Entrepreneurships Program is encouraged.
