Background
The St. James Parish Department of Human Resources (DHR) is seeking qualified and experienced landscaping contractors to provide full landscaping installation, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance services at five parish-owned facilities. The goal of this contract is to enhance the aesthetic and functional quality of these facilities through professional landscaping services.
Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary to complete landscaping installation and maintenance. Specific tasks include:
- Removal and disposal of existing landscape materials.
- Installation of new shrubs, plants, trees, mulch, rock, and ground cover.
- Repairing/re-establishing landscape beds and installing weed barriers suitable for the Louisiana climate.
- Ongoing maintenance tasks such as grass cutting, trimming, edging, hedge/shrub trimming, weed control in beds, mulch replenishment, and removal of debris and clippings.
The contract covers five locations with varying scopes:
1. DHR Administration Building - Full new installation & maintenance at 1579 Lutcher Ave., Lutcher, LA 70071.
2. Welcome Senior Center - Full new installation & maintenance at 7140 Park Street, St. James, LA 70086.
3. Convent Senior Center - Updates and maintenance at 5775 Hwy 44, Convent, LA 70723.
4. Lutcher Senior Center - Full new installation & maintenance at 2631 Louisiana Ave., Lutcher, LA 70071.
5. Vacherie Senior Center - Maintenance only at 22080 Champion Street, Vacherie, LA 70090.
Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and is expected to continue for a specified duration as outlined in the proposal requirements; proposals are due by March 3, 2026.

Services will be performed at five locations within St. James Parish: Lutcher Administration Building (1579 Lutcher Ave., Lutcher), Welcome Senior Center (7140 Park Street), Convent Senior Center (5775 Hwy 44), Lutcher Senior Center (2631 Louisiana Ave.), and Vacherie Senior Center (22080 Champion Street).
