ITB - NOAB - East Apron Expansion

Background
The East Apron Expansion project is initiated by the New Orleans Aviation Board (NOAB) at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport in Kenner, Louisiana. The goal of this contract is to expand the East Apron area to enhance airport operations and capacity. This project is part of a broader effort to improve infrastructure and services at the airport, which plays a critical role in supporting the region's transportation needs.

Work Details
The contract entails construction work for the expansion of the East Apron at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. Specific tasks include site preparation, grading, paving, installation of drainage systems, and associated infrastructure improvements as detailed in the Technical Specifications and Drawings prepared by Garver, LLC and Wingate Engineers, LLC. The project will follow all applicable federal guidelines as it is partially funded by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence upon award and must be completed within a specified timeframe as outlined in the Project Manual and/or Specifications. The exact duration will be determined based on the contractor's proposal and schedule.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid Louisiana contractor's license for relevant classifications including Highways, Streets & Bridges, Municipal and Public Works Construction, and Building Construction. A minimum of 20% of the project value must be self-performed by the contractor. Bidders are also required to submit a bid security in the form of a cashier's check or bid bond equal to 5% of their total bid amount. Compliance with federal regulations regarding debarment and lobbying is mandatory.
