ITB - New Orleans FEMA Optimized Group 7

Background
The City of New Orleans, through its Department of Public Works, is issuing this formal Invitation to Bid (ITB) for public works and capital projects under the project titled 'New Orleans FEMA Optimized Group 7' (RR184, RR221, RR223).

The goal of this contract is to engage qualified contractors to provide necessary services and materials as part of the city's ongoing efforts to enhance infrastructure and disaster recovery efforts.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing various public works services related to the FEMA Optimized Group 7 project.

Specific tasks may include construction, repair, and maintenance activities as outlined in the Project Manual and Specifications. Bidders must ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, including adherence to the City’s Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program which has a goal of 35% participation. The contractor must also comply with the Hire NOLA program requirements.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon issuance of a Notice to Proceed and will continue for a term of one year with an option for renewal as specified in the Project Manual.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed within the geographic boundaries of New Orleans, Louisiana.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid Louisiana Contractor’s License appropriate for the project classification.

A bid bond or security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount is required. Additionally, bidders must comply with insurance requirements including general liability, workers’ compensation, and auto liability coverage as specified in the ITB. Bidders are also required to submit documentation proving compliance with DBE participation goals and Hire NOLA program requirements.
