ITB - New Orleans FEMA Optimized Group 2

Background
The City of New Orleans, through its Department of Public Works, is issuing this formal Invitation to Bid (ITB) for public works and capital projects under the project titled 'New Orleans FEMA Optimized Group 2' (RR018 and RR213).
The goal of this contract is to enhance the city's infrastructure in response to federal disaster recovery efforts.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary services and materials as outlined in the project specifications.
This includes construction, renovation, and repair work related to the FEMA Optimized Group 2 projects.
Bidders must ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, including adherence to the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program which has a goal of 35% participation.
The contractor must also provide a performance bond and insurance as specified in the contract documents.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon issuance of a Notice to Proceed and will continue for a duration specified in the Project Manual, with options for renewal as provided.

Place of Performance
The work will primarily take place within the City of New Orleans, Louisiana.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid Louisiana Contractor's License relevant to the project classification.
They are required to submit a bid bond or security amounting to at least 5% of the bid amount.
Additionally, bidders must comply with the City's hiring requirements under the HireNOLA program and provide documentation regarding their DBE participation efforts.
