The City of Baton Rouge and Parish of East Baton Rouge is issuing this solicitation for the construction of Groom Road, specifically from McHugh Road to Plank Road. This project is part of their ongoing efforts to improve local infrastructure and enhance transportation within the community.

Work Details
The project involves comprehensive construction activities including grading, earthwork, installation of drainage structures, subsurface drainage, base course preparation, PCC pavement and patching, milling of asphalt pavement, installation of asphalt pavement, pervious and concrete sidewalks, landscaping, striping, signing, and associated items of work.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with the Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (SEDBE) program with a minimum goal of 24% participation. Contractors must hold an active license issued by the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors in the classification of Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction. A Certified Check or Cashier's Check equal to 5% of the total bid or a satisfactory Bid Bond must be submitted with each bid.
