Cote Blanche Bridge Rehabilitation

The work requested under this contract involves the rehabilitation of the Cote Blanche Bridge, including the removal of wooden approaches, steel grid flooring, structural metalwork, guardrail, electrical upgrades, and other related items. The estimated cost for this project is $1,000,000. Lafourche Parish Government is soliciting electronic bids for this project. Bids will be received at the Civil Service Building, 402 West Fifth Street, Thibodaux, LA 70301, until 10:00 AM local time on October 29, 2025, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Electronic bids must be submitted through www.centralauctionhouse.com before the electronic bidding deadline. The contract is being issued by Lafourche Parish Government. The project background includes the need for significant rehabilitation work on the Cote Blanche Bridge to address structural and electrical components, as well as related infrastructure. Contract requirements specify that no proposal will be considered unless accompanied by satisfactory evidence that the Bidder holds a Louisiana State Contractor's License in Highway, Street and Bridge Construction or Heavy Construction, in full force and effect and in compliance with the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors and Louisiana Public Bid Law. Plans and specifications may be obtained from the Engineer upon payment of $100. In accordance with R.S. 38:2212 (D), deposits on the first set of documents furnished to bona fide prime bidders will be fully refunded upon return of the documents, while deposits on any additional sets will be refunded less the actual costs of reproduction. Refunds will be made upon return of the documents if within ten days after receipt of bids. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder without discrimination on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin. Disadvantaged businesses will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids.
