Contract To Provide Carpentry Services As Needed (LABOR ONLY)

Background
The City of Kenner is seeking bids for carpentry services on an as-needed basis, specifically for labor only. The contract aims to support the city's various carpentry needs, ensuring that all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations. The goal is to maintain and enhance city facilities through professional carpentry services.

Work Details
The contractor will provide carpentry services as needed, which includes but is not limited to:
- Providing skilled carpenters and laborers during normal business hours (Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM) and after hours for overtime or holiday rates.
- Specific unit prices are required for various roles including:
- Carpenter
- Helper/Laborer
- Finish Carpenter
- All work must meet or exceed local, state, federal, and manufacturer’s codes and guidelines.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective from August 18, 2025, to August 17, 2026. There is an option to extend the agreement for two additional years in one-year intervals based on mutual consent.

Place of Performance
All work will be performed within the City of Kenner, Louisiana.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit a bid security in the form of a bid bond or cashier's check amounting to 5% of the contract price. Contractors must maintain insurance coverage as specified in the solicitation documents. Additionally, all subcontractors must meet the same insurance requirements as the primary contractor.
