The Lafourche Parish Water District No. 1 is seeking bids for the supply of various chemicals necessary for water treatment. Work Details
The contractor will provide the following chemicals for water treatment:

8) Sodium Hypochlorite
9) Liquid Zinc Orthophosphate
Specific quantities and delivery requirements include:
- Liquid Aluminum Sulfate: Approximately 650 dry tons annually.
- Powdered Activated Carbon: Approximately 38,000 pounds annually.
- Liquid Chlorine: Approximately 215,000 pounds annually in one-ton cylinders.
- Cationic Polyelectrolyte: Approximately 400,000 pounds annually.
- Fluorosilicic Acid: Approximately 4,000 gallons per delivery.
- Anhydrous Ammonia: Approximately 3,000 pounds per delivery.
- Liquid Sodium Permanganate (20%): Approximately 60,000 pounds annually.
- Sodium Hypochlorite: Approximately 10,000 gallons annually.

Period of Performance
The contract period will run from February 1, 2026 through January 31, 2027.
Place of Performance
Deliveries will be made to Lafourche Parish Water District No. 1 at two locations:
- South Treatment Plant at 5753 Highway 308, Lockport, LA
- North Treatment Plant at 1052 Highway 1, Thibodaux, LA.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with ANSI/NSF certification requirements for all chemicals supplied. They must provide a Certificate of Analysis (COA), Safety Data Sheet (SDS), and weight measurements with each delivery. Additionally, bidders are required to have liability insurance coverage including General Liability ($1 million per occurrence), Automobile Liability ($1 million per occurrence), and Worker’s Compensation insurance.
