Building Demolition - St Mary Dr.

The work requested under this contract involves the complete demolition of a building located on St. Mary Dr. This project requires the furnishing of all necessary labor and materials and the performance of all associated work for the building demolition as specified. The Lake Charles Housing Authority Board of Commissioners is the entity requesting these services. Sealed proposals will be received until 3:00 PM on September 18, 2025, at the Housing Authority Central Office Board Room, 400 W. Hale St., Lake Charles, LA 70601. The contract is being issued to facilitate the safe and thorough demolition of the specified building for the Lake Charles Housing Authority. Printed copies are not provided by the Architect, but arrangements can be made through most reprographic firms, with plan holders responsible for reproduction costs. Questions regarding the bidding procedure should be directed to the Architect. Only contractors licensed under LA R.S. 37:2150-2163 for the classification of Building Construction are eligible to submit bids. Bids must be sealed, clearly marked with the Contractor's License Number on the envelope, and may be hand delivered, sent by registered or certified mail with return receipt requested, or submitted electronically online. Bids submitted by facsimile transmission or FAX will not be accepted. All bids will be publicly opened and read at the designated place and time. No proposal may be withdrawn within thirty (30) calendar days after the scheduled opening. The Lake Charles Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount, made payable to the Lake Charles Housing Authority. Upon execution of the contract, a Performance Bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount is required.
