Armed Security Guard Service -LDH-Reg 5

Background
The Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) is seeking to establish a service contract for Armed Security Guard Services for its Medical Vendor Administration in Region 5. The goal of this contract is to ensure the safety and security of the facility located at 620 Esplanade St., Lake Charles, LA, by providing professional armed security personnel during operational hours.

Work Details
The contractor will provide armed security guard services consisting of one (1) armed guard from Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM. The minimum wage for guards is set at $18.00 per hour. The total quantity of service required is estimated at 2,200 hours for the fiscal year 2027.

Period of Performance
The initial period of performance for this contract will begin on July 1, 2026, or upon date of award, whichever is later, and will end on June 30, 2027. There is an option to renew the contract for two additional 12-month periods at the same prices, with a total contract duration not exceeding 36 months.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the LDH Medical Vendor Administration located at 620 Esplanade St., Lake Charles, LA 70607.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be licensed with the Louisiana State Board of Private Security Examiners to be considered for award. Additionally, all bidders must be registered in the LaGov system to submit an online bid and must include a W-9 form if newly registered.
