2025-02 B Asbestos Abatement at Bissonet Plaza Elementary School

Scope of Work Requested:
The Jefferson Parish School Board is seeking sealed bids for asbestos abatement services at Bissonet Plaza Elementary School, under Project No. 2025-02 B. The work will involve the safe removal and proper disposal of asbestos-containing materials at the school site.

Requesting Entity:
This solicitation is issued by the Facilities Department for the Jefferson Parish School Board, located at 4600 River Road, Administration Annex, 1st Floor, Marrero, LA 70072.

Background:
The project is part of ongoing efforts to ensure a safe and healthy environment at Bissonet Plaza Elementary School, located at 6818 Kawanee Ave., Metairie, LA 70003.

Contract Requirements:

• Sealed bids must be received by 2:00 P.M., Thursday, April 16, 2026, at the address listed above.
• Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time.
• No bids may be withdrawn for at least thirty (30) days after the scheduled closing time.
• The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive all informalities.
• Plans, specifications, and other information are available from Technical Environmental Services, Inc., 5133 Taravella Road, Marrero, LA 70072, Phone: 504-348-3098.
• Document fees: $50.00 per set for a hard copy; $25.00 (non-refundable) for an electronic set on compact disk.
• The full deposit for one set of documents will be refunded to each General Contractor upon return of documents, complete, in good condition, and unmarked, within ten (10) days after bid opening. For additional sets or for documents issued to subcontractors or suppliers, only the reproduction cost will be deducted from the deposit and the balance refunded.

Submission Instructions:

• All sealed proposals must be clearly marked on the envelope cover, plainly and prominently, with the bidder's information.
• A pre-bid meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at Bissonet Plaza Elementary School to review the job scope and site conditions.
