2024-20 Hurricane Ida Damage Repairs at Alexander School

The work of this contract involves Hurricane Ida Damage Repairs at Alexander School, identified as Project No. 2024-20. The scope includes all necessary repairs to address damages caused by Hurricane Ida at the specified school location. Sealed bids are requested for this project. The solicitation is issued by the Facilities Department for the Jefferson Parish School Board, located at 4600 River Road, Administration Annex, 1st Floor, Marrero, LA 70072. This contract is being issued in response to damages sustained by Alexander School as a result of Hurricane Ida. The project aims to restore the facility to its pre-storm condition through comprehensive repair work. Contract requirements include submission of sealed bids by 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 11, 2025. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time. Bids may not be withdrawn for at least thirty (30) days after the scheduled closing time. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities. There is a $200.00 fee per set for hard copies and a non-refundable $25.00 fee for an electronic set on compact disk. General Contractors will receive a full deposit refund for one set of documents, provided they are returned complete, in good condition, and unmarked within ten (10) days after bid opening. For additional sets or for documents issued to subcontractors or material suppliers, the cost of reproduction will be deducted from the deposit, with the balance refunded under the same conditions. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 3:30 p.m. at Alexander School, 600 W. Esplanade Ave., Kenner, LA 70065. This meeting will allow prospective bidders to review the job scope and site conditions. Instructions for submission require that sealed proposals are clearly marked on the envelope cover with: a) the bidder's name, address, and telephone number; b) the State License Number of the Contractor if the bid exceeds $50,000.00; and c) the statement Proposal for (project name and number) . Bidders may also submit bids electronically.
