Background
Eastern Kentucky University's WEKU radio station is seeking to purchase equipment to replace its existing transmitter at the Clays Ferry location in Kentucky. This initiative is part of a federally-funded infrastructure grant, which is subject to the Build America Buy America Act. Bidders must certify their eligibility and comply with all sourcing and production requirements.

Work Details
The contract involves procuring the following equipment:

1. GatesAir FLX40kw HD Transmitter including cooling system, power block, and auxiliary equipment.

2. Gates FMXI4G HD Antenna Install Kit, which includes GPS Antenna, GPS Cable, Adapter, etc.

3. IX-HDL-950-IP Intraplex HD Link Digital 950 MHz STL.

4. IP link Codecs – Intraplex IP link 200.

5. Burke Technology ARC Plus Remote control and Coax switches.

6. Shipping for all equipment to the Clays Ferry Transmitter site (zip code 40475).

Note that while specific brands are mentioned, equivalent products from other suppliers will also be considered at the University’s discretion.
