Background
The Boone County Board of Education is seeking proposals for structured cabling installation services at district facilities. The goal of this contract is to enhance the communication infrastructure within the schools, ensuring compliance with established wiring guidelines and expectations.
Work Details
The selected vendor will provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary for the installation of structured cabling. This includes:
- 59 Cat6A runs
- 68 Cat6 runs (quantities fixed, no site visits allowed)
- Termination hardware
- Patch panels (24-port modular patch panels, LEVITON QuickPort standard-density)
- Patch cables
- Surface mount boxes or wall plates
- Rack integration
- Cable management
- Testing and certification of all cable runs to ensure compliance with category standards and signal integrity.
All cabling must be plenum rated with a maximum run length of 300 feet. Proper labeling on both ends of each cable run is required, identifying closet type, room number, and drop number.
Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to be completed within a timeline specified in the vendor's proposal. Pricing shall remain firm for 12 months from the date of award.
