RFP-844 Architect CHFS Central Lab Reno& Expansion Frankfort

Background
The Commonwealth of Kentucky, through its Finance and Administration Cabinet, Department for Facilities & Support Services, is seeking architectural and engineering services for the renovation and expansion of the Central Lab in Frankfort.
The goal of this project is to develop a facility that meets the needs of the Using Agency while adhering to budgetary constraints and construction timelines.

Work Details
The Architect/Engineer (A/E) will provide comprehensive architectural and engineering services throughout the project lifecycle, including:
1) Schematic Design, which involves understanding the project requirements, site conditions, and budget;
2) Design Development, where detailed drawings and specifications are created;
3) Contract Documents preparation for bidding purposes;
4) Construction Administration to oversee the execution of the project.
The A/E must ensure compliance with all applicable laws, codes, and regulations during all phases. Specific tasks include conducting site surveys, preparing cost estimates, coordinating with consultants, submitting documents through the Owner's Document Collaboration System, and assisting in LEED certification processes if applicable.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon execution on March 31, 2023, with specific timelines established for each phase of work as outlined in the agreement.
The duration for each phase will be defined by calendar days as agreed upon by both parties.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Central Lab located in Frankfort, Kentucky.
