Background
The Commonwealth of Kentucky is issuing this solicitation for the RFB-92-26 KSFB - Downtown Garage Expansion Joint Repair project. The Kentucky State Fair Board oversees this project, which aims to ensure the structural integrity of two existing parking garages by repairing critical expansion joints and surrounding structural elements.

Work Details
The scope of work includes selective demolition and replacement of four existing expansion joints across two levels between two parking garages. Additionally, concrete repairs will be made to surrounding structural elements including slabs, beams, and columns.

The project requires a contractor skilled in expansion joint replacement and post-tension tendon repair in a post-tension concrete slab system. Shoring of the existing concrete slab may be necessary if post-tension tendons are to be trenched. The garages will remain occupied during repairs, necessitating the installation of a temporary entrance along West Liberty Street at Level 1, which must be restored after completion of the work.
