RFB-245-25 Re-Ad of RFB-95-25 KCTCS Expand Leitchfield Campu

Background
The Commonwealth of Kentucky is issuing this solicitation for the expansion of the Elizabethtown Community and Technical College Leitchfield campus. The goal of this contract is to construct a new single-story, standalone building that will enhance educational facilities in the region. This building will specifically house Industrial Maintenance Labs, Nursing and Health Science Labs, classrooms, and administrative offices.

Work Details
The project involves constructing a 16,733 square foot building located directly west of the existing campus structure. Key construction details include:
- Exterior walls made of loadbearing CMU and structural steel on reinforced concrete stem walls and spread footings.
- Exterior skin comprised of spray foam insulation with brick and metal wall panels.
- Roof system featuring 2-ply SBS roofing over low-slope tapered polyiso insulation board with internal roof drains.
- Interior walls will be a mix of CMU bearing walls and metal studs with gypsum board.
- Flooring will consist of VCT, sealed concrete, and ceramic tile.
- Ceilings primarily made of acoustic lay-in tiles with gypsum board soffits and bulkheads.
- HVAC systems including water source heat pumps supported by boilers and fluid coolers, with dedicated outside air units for ventilation.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period begins upon award and is expected to be completed by May 20, 2025.

Place of Performance
The construction will take place at the Elizabethtown Community and Technical College Leitchfield campus located at 101 E Carroll Gibson Blvd., Leitchfield, KY 42754.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit their proposals electronically through the Commonwealth’s eProcurement system. All bidders are required to be registered in the Vendor Self Service (VSS) System prior to submission. Bids submitted via postal carrier or hand delivery will not be accepted.
