RFB-215-25 KCTCS Renovate Edgewood Campus Gateway CTC

Background
The Commonwealth of Kentucky is issuing this solicitation for the renovation of the Student Services Center at Gateway Community and Technical College's Edgewood Campus. The goal of this contract is to improve functionality, accessibility, and building systems to better serve students, faculty, and staff.

Work Details
The project involves a 33,000-square-foot renovation that includes:

- Upgrades to key service areas;
- Modernization of interior finishes;
- Improvements to restroom facilities;
- Replacement of outdated lighting with energy-efficient solutions;
- Upgrading the existing elevator to meet current accessibility and safety standards;
- Replacing door hardware for enhanced security and compliance with accessibility requirements.

New flooring will be installed throughout the facility, including LVT and carpet tile in common areas, carpet tile in offices, LVT in clinical spaces, and ceramic tile in restrooms. Acoustical ceiling systems will be installed to improve sound quality, with specialty ceilings in select areas. Casework and storage solutions will be finished with high-pressure laminate for durability. All walls will receive new paint finishes. The commons area will feature custom wall and window graphics that reflect the Gateway community's identity.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period is expected to commence on April 1, 2025, with a closing date for submissions on April 30, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Gateway Community and Technical College located at 1051 Dudley Pike, Edgewood, KY 41017.
