RFB-202-25 Re-Ad of RFB-38-25 CHFS WSNF Renovation

Background
The Commonwealth of Kentucky, through the Cabinet for Health and Family Services, is issuing this solicitation for the renovation of the Western State Hospital Nursing Facility. The goal of this contract is to improve the existing HVAC systems in Buildings 30 and 31, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff.

Work Details
The project involves significant renovations including:

- Improvements to HVAC systems
- Excavation and asphalt repairs
- Removal and replacement of existing ceiling systems
- Modifications to the existing sprinkler system
- Removal of two-pipe HVAC systems and exhaust systems
- Installation of four-pipe fan coils, outside air systems, exhaust air systems, hot water and chilled water piping systems.

Additionally, power connections to mechanical systems will be removed and new power panels will be installed. There is also an alternate bid for improvements to Building 32. The trades involved include demolition, concrete work, drywall installation, painting, ceiling work, fire protection services, mechanical work, ductwork installation, electrical work, and fire alarm system updates.

Period of Performance
The contract period is expected to commence upon award and will continue until all work is completed as specified in the bid documents. Specific timelines will be outlined in the awarded contract.

Place of Performance
The renovations will take place at the Western State Hospital located at 2400 Russellville Road, Hopkinsville, Kentucky.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered in the Commonwealth eProcurement System via the Vendor Self Service (VSS) System. They must submit bids electronically; emailed or hard copy submissions are not accepted. Bidders should ensure all information is accurate prior to submission as it will carry forward to a contract if awarded.
