RFB-202-25 Re-Ad of RFB-38-25 CHFS WSNF Renovation

Background
The Commonwealth of Kentucky's Cabinet for Health and Family Services is issuing this solicitation for the renovation of the Western State Hospital Nursing Facility. The goal of the contract is to improve the existing HVAC systems in Buildings 30 and 31, ensuring a better environment for residents and staff.

Work Details
The project will consist of various improvements including:

- Excavation and asphalt repairs
- Removal and replacement of existing ceiling systems
- Modifications to the existing sprinkler system
- Removal of existing two-pipe HVAC systems
- Removal of exhaust systems
- Installation of four-pipe fan coils
- Installation of outside air systems
- Installation of exhaust air systems
- Installation of hot water and chilled water piping systems
- Removal of power connections to mechanical systems noted
- Installation of new power panels
- Power connections to new equipment.

There will also be an alternate for improvements to Building 32. The trades involved include demolition, concrete work, drywall installation, painting, ceiling work, fire protection, mechanical work, ductwork, electrical work, and fire alarm installations.

Period of Performance
The contract period will begin upon award and is expected to be completed by April 23, 2025.

Place of Performance
The renovations will take place at the Western State Hospital located at 2400 Russellville Road, Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
